crown’s Closing F.A.Q. Statement + Safe Spaces / Stylist Referrals

Now that our big announcement is out of the way, we wanted to list some FAQ’s to assist you in this transition. Please be patient with our team at this time as we are navigating an unprecedented situation.

  • Does crown have a closing date? Our last day as crown was 7/16/22.

  • Who is relocating to a new city? Erin, Grace, Tommy + Chris will be relocating. Stylists will be opening a brand NEW salon there: Fruits Hair Lab!

  • What if I have an appointment booked after said closing date? We will do our best to get every guest possible in our chairs a few last times, but cannot guarantee appointments scheduled after the “big date” that are booked w/ the relocating stylists. Karen, Cara, and Chelsey will be starting a new appointment system from scratch, and their previously booked request guests will be transferred to the new system.

  • Who do I see now for my services?! We have compiled a list of talented local stylists, barbers, and artists who we would love to recommend. This list is located at the end of this FAQ .

  • Will Audrey be offering makeup services in Buffalo? Yes, but she is downsizing her books in 2023: No longer taking weddings with more than 4 people, and special events are welcome. Keep an eye out for social media posts around holidays (ie Halloween, NYE etc). All appointments in 2022 still stand even after crown’s closing date is announced. And any other inquiries, e-mail her via (new email tba).

  • What if I have a gift certificate / card? You can redeem them until our closing date on 7/16/22.

  • What will happen to Sh*tty Hawkins?! We plan to begin holding this event in 2 cities after we get settled! We love our hometown + always will. Be sure to follow @shittyhawkins for future info.

  • Will this website disappear? The plan is to keep this website forever, as a digital scrapbook. Some features will be disabled, but you’ll be able to stroll down memory lane here, or find your future stylist match!

If I am traveling to (new city tba), can I book with the stylists relocating? Of course! We would love to see you in the new salon someday, so feel free to reach out to our new contact points if you’re traveling! (We’ll be announcing details of the new salon on this site briefly later.)

  • Want to own a little piece of crown? We will be selling things like fixtures + small furniture, as well as salon equipment, products @ cost, framed pics + artwork between 7/17-7/22. Stay tuned to socials to see what will be available.

Handmade Resin Hair Art BTS

Since Erin’s been working with resin for over a year now, it was time to shoot a little bts. Craft.Resin recently posted an interview with her HERE.

Did you know each piece made for your hair starts as liquid, and becomes a shiny piece you can wear forever?

Thanks to everyone who picks up these pieces, as it’s been a great offshoot of crown during the pandemic. It’s fun staying engaged, sharing selfies, and hearing what ya wanna see next.

Another government mandated salon shutdown, another struggle for small businesses to survive. When we must touch people to generate income, and are unable, we and so many like us are at high risk to lose it all.

Please take a moment + read, sign, and share our petition. We hope to get it into the hands of those who can assist NY State Licensed “High-Touch” service professionals during this impossible time.
